BCT.EXE: BayCom Terminal for FlexNet (DOS)
|
|
This version of the BayCom-Terminal Software is intended to be used with
the
FlexNet
AX.25 driver program.
It is functional nearly identical to the BayCom Terminal 1.60.
The main difference is the interface to the AX.25 driver. FlexNet is a
well-supported driver software which runs under DOS as well as under Windows.
See the
FlexNet
web site for further details.
The BayCom AX.25 driver program L2.EXE is no longer supported and does not
represent the newest state of technology.
Now also the source code of BCT.EXE is issued. The licence conditions are
known as GNU General Public Licence, this is also stated within the source
code files. The source code is meant to be compiled with Borland C++ 3.1 for
DOS. An appropriate project file (bct.prj) is also included in the archive.
Note: A directory OBJ must exist to compile correctly using the project file.
The source code contains the FlexNet application interface files which are
copyrighted by Gunter Jost DK7WJ. Note that these parts are not covered by
the GPL copyright of BCT.
Please do not expect any support on maintaining the source code by the
author.
The program is old, outdated and reflects a very early state of knowledge
concerning software design, development and documentation. Most of the code is
dated at 1990 and not changed for years. Most of the few documentation in the
source code is written in German language.
Due to some minor year 2000 issues an update of BCT.EXE is recommended.
