BayCom Standard Modem for RS-232

This is our standard do-it-yourself modem. It uses the TCM3105 modem chip and
is usable for 1200Bd operation on VHF/UHF bands.
As an option, a tone squelch DCD extension can be added, using the EXAR 2211
PLL IC (shown on the second photo). For the BayCom terminal program,
this is only recommended, when a very slow IBM XT is used. Else, the software
DCD of BayCom V. 1.60 can be used. For other software running with the serial
modem, the DCD may be required, if no software DCD is implemented. The DCD
extension can also be used for other modems, because it fits directly into
the TCM3105 socket. Size of the modem: 90 * 44 * 24 mm. 9-pin Sub-D-Connector
(female) for the RS-232 interface, 5 pin DIN connector for radio connection.
