We are often asked for a MS Windows or IBM OS/2 version of the BayCom terminal software. Unfortunately, programming a real time driver for such multi-tasking operating systems is not a job that's easily done in half an evening.
There is now a number of Windows and Linux drivers for the RS-232 modem that run under FlexNet and the Linux kernel. However, there is no such driver for the BayCom terminal software, and chances are there won't be.
However, the PAR96, PICPAR, etc. and the USCC cards are working as a DOS application under Windows on most faster computers (486/Pentium). Start L2 before starting Windows! We have also had positive experiences with this hardware and Windows95. Nevertheless, keep in mind that BayCom is currently a pure DOS application!
It is possible to start BayCom as a DOS application under OS/2, but it is very unstable. Any file access will cause a crash. Unfortunately, nobody in the BayCom team uses an OS/2 system, so there isn't much motivation for an OS/2 driver project.
