Cable assembly for a handy



The following figure shows the cable assembly for YAESU, STANDARD and KENWOOD handies. In case no PTT pin is available, PTT is switched via a DC current on the MIC-line, coupled in by the 2.2k Ohm resistor. The same principle also works for most other handies - if not, just play around a little bit with the resistor value (if PTT is switched continuously, increase value to 4.7 kOhm, if PTT switches not, decrease it to 1.5 kOhm).
