Auckland VHF Group Inc.
The Auckland VHF Group (Branch 66 NZART) is Auckland's main technical
amateur radio group. With about 150 members, its activities include
- operation of several 2m and 70 cm voice repeaters in the greater Auckland region: 670, 6625, 850, 845.
- ownership of two National System sites. The NZ National System is a growing
network of linked 70 cm voice repeaters, enabling amateurs to communicate
on UHF between places as far north as Kaitaia and places in the South such
as Dunedin, with nodes covering all metropolitan cities in New Zealand.
The VHF Group also provides technical expertise and coordination to other
clubs operating spurs on the National System.

a packet networking interest group. It coordinates the Klondyke Packet
Node Project ZL1PKT. Revenue from the VHF Group BayCom project is earmarked
for these purposes. The node digipeater ZL1PKT is operated from the Klondyke
National System site near Port Waikato with a 2m echoduplex port, a 70cm
echoduplex port (9600Bd), and an experimental 23cm full duplex link (9k6
at the moment but fully 19k2 capable).

a trading table which stocks hundreds of different components. It is the
VHF Group's main source of income for repeater operation and general club
operation.
The VHF Group has its club rooms in Hazel Ave., just off Dominion Road
south of the city of Auckland. Visitors are welcome. Meeting nights are
on the 3rd Monday of each month usually featuring a guest speaker.
