Some Impressions from my latest travels....

Indian summer at the American-Canadian Border near Peter-Looghborough state park (1996)

Lake Agnes (close to the well known, but awfully crowded Lake Louise): A real beauty! (Canada, 1996)

Ascent to Mt. Edith Cavell (near Jasper, Canada 1996). Not only an impressive peak, but the valley to the left also shows one of the most beautiful hanging glaciers I have ever seen!

Olympic National Park at the American west coast near Seattle is a combination of rugged mountains, natural forest and a wild-romantic coastline. But this unique ensemble often hides it's beauty behing clouds and lots of rain.. On our 1996 journey, we had good luck - 5 days and not a drop of rain!

This little fellow crossed our paths on Kangaroo Island - a 100km * 20km refugium for any kind of wildlife some kilometers south of Adelaide, Australia. If you should ever go to the south of Australia - go to Kangaroo Island and spend some days there. It is more than overwhelming what lots of animals can be found there, next to lushing greens and huge sand dunes ("little Sahara").
